Espanaro Wins Prestigious Small Business Growth Award at Powys Business Awards 2024

We are delighted to announce that Espanaro has been awarded the Small Business Growth Award at the Powys Business Awards 2024. a night of celebration held at Dering Lines, Brecon. The award, sponsored by Cellar Drinks, recognises businesses that have shown exceptional growth and innovation in the face of adversity, and this accolade represents a significant milestone in our journey.

The past year has been pivotal for Espanaro. In early 2024, we faced substantial challenges, including the sudden loss of £400,000 in contracts due to Defence procurement cuts. Yet, our response to these challenges was swift and strategic. Under the leadership of Dan Edmunds, we focused on securing the jobs of all our employees and began diversifying our services to ensure resilience.

This proactive approach led to the expansion of our offerings with the establishment of the Espanaro Advanced Engineering Consultancy (EAEC). By integrating advanced engineering with our software solutions, we have been able to meet the growing demands of our clients, enabling us to expand our footprint within the industry. As a result, Espanaro has not only weathered the storm but thrived, achieving 400% growth in turnover by the end of 2023 and positioning ourselves to hit a £1 million revenue target by the close of this year.

Despite the challenges posed by industry downturns, our resilience is highlighted by our successful entry into new markets in aerospace, healthcare, and national infrastructure. We continue to form key partnerships with industry leaders, bolstering our growth and opening new avenues for future success. Additionally, our commitment to innovation is showcased through the development of our patented products, reflecting our ability to remain at the cutting edge of security and system engineering solutions.

The judges commended Espanaro for its strong leadership, adaptability, and strategic growth. They noted that our achievements position us well for continued success, with a clear path to doubling our workforce within the next year and further strengthening our position in both the UK and international markets.

As part of our growth strategy, we are actively investing in new projects that will allow us to expand our product offerings and customer base. This includes securing funding through a strategic growth loan, which will support critical projects and further development of our proprietary solutions. We are also committed to expanding our workforce to ensure we have the talent in place to meet the increasing demands of the market.

Winning this award is a reflection of the incredible dedication, creativity, and resilience of our entire team. It is their hard work that has allowed us to reach this point, and we look forward to continuing our growth in the years to come.
