The UK defence environment is characterised by long procurement timescales, complex multi-supplier delivery structures, and an increasing tempo of operational demand that frequently outpaces the rate at which capability can be developed and fielded. MOD customers operate across the full tri-service domain, land, maritime, air, cyber, and space, and increasingly in joint and multi-domain operational contexts where the integration of capabilities across service boundaries is as challenging as the development of individual capabilities.
